About Us

Our Story

Hi, I’m Ryan Blake, founder of JournalingAce. My journaling journey began in 2012 during my freshman year at the University of Michigan when my psychology professor assigned daily journaling as part of our coursework. What started as a required assignment transformed into a life-changing practice that helped me navigate college stress, clarify my career path, and ultimately discover my life’s purpose.

After graduating with a degree in Psychology and spending five years as a wellness coach, I noticed a common thread among my clients: those who maintained a consistent journaling practice showed remarkable progress in their personal growth and emotional well-being. This observation, combined with my passion for writing and mental wellness, inspired me to create JournalingAce in 2019.

What began as a small personal blog has grown into a trusted resource for thousands of people seeking to enhance their lives through journaling. Drawing from my background in psychology, coaching experience, and decade-long journaling practice, I’ve developed a practical approach to journaling that combines scientific insights with real-world application.
